We believe that we can change our future and create a better world by promoting more opportunities to connect and enjoy quality time with our children through sensory play.
The Bilingual Sensory Play program consists of 4 sessions, each with 6 classes, totaling 24 unique classes that can be started anytime throughout the year. Each session is color-coded—orange, blue, green, and pink—with different activities, songs, and games for each color, ensuring a non-repetitive and fresh experience every time. Our goal is to offer you a wide variety of creative and sensory activities that can be easily done at home, many of which you may have never imagined could be so engaging and fun for your little one.
No need to know Spanish; this program is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all families!
Meet Ms. YURU
Hello! Happy family. I'm the founder of Zone for Babies and Kids since 2009. As a child development teacher, I've created a program that gives you the opportunity to enjoy quality time together through sensory play. These classes are designed for pure enjoyment, filled with movement, singing, dancing, being loud, and embracing the joy of messiness! Because mess is FUN! Get ready to participate in a one-of-a-kind program taught in both English and Spanish, providing a unique experience unlike anything you've encountered before.

Come join our unique sensory play experience in English AND Spanish for infants 6 months to children 4 years old, now offered outdoors at beautiful Kate Sessions Park or San Dieguito Park, and indoors at the Nightingale Music School studio in La Jolla! These creative and educational brain-building classes are taught by Ms. Yuru Lameda, also known as “The Babies and Kids Whisperer.”
Master teacher Ms. Yuru Lameda has a degree in Early Childhood Education and over 16 years of experience working with children and their families. Ms. Yuru will teach and share with you how quality time with infants and toddlers engaged in sensory play will lead to healthier, happier, and smarter kids!

From birth to age 5, your child's brain is growing rapidly. Sensory play, combined with engaging songs, is crucial during these early years, enhancing brain development, fine and gross motor skills, and language acquisition. Our program also provides an opportunity to expose your child to Spanish as a second language in a natural and fun way. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required. These rich, varied sensory experiences lay the foundation for the skills your child will build as they grow, making these early play opportunities essential for their future success.

Each session includes a ZoneBK Sensory Play Box, filled with essential sensory materials and must-have goodies for your 6-week classes—perfect for extending the fun and learning at home. You’ll also receive a convenient bag to carry everything to class. During the sessions, Ms. Yuru will share additional sensory instruments and materials to enhance the experience.

Blue Session! Over the next six weeks of Sensory Movement Music and Play, your child will enjoy engaging sensory activities, joyful movement, and interactive songs. Together, we’ll sing about animals like fish, cats, cows, and penguins while exploring fruits, colors, numbers, shapes, body parts, and vowels—all designed to engage your child's senses, including touch, sight, taste, smell, hearing, proprioception, and balance. The program also introduces songs and activities in both English and Spanish, providing a fun way to expose children to a second language. No need to know Spanish; this inclusive program is welcoming to all families, fostering imagination and essential developmental skills in a vibrant and supportive environment!
